Punk Politics: The Evolution of Rebellion

Bibliography and Acknowledgements

Acknowledgements:

I want to thank first of all my chair Dr. Jeffrey Charles, who agreed to help me on this journey early on in my academic career. His constant feedback and advice helped transform my work into something that was worth creating. My committee member Dr. Katherine Hijar, who’s dedication to details and knowledge of punk assisted my theoretical approach to this scholarship.
And my committee member Dr. Ibrahim Al-Marashi, who’s knowledge of the period and U.S. military conflicts in the Middle East helped me situate my discussion.
I also want to thank all of the scholars who have helped me and the entire History Department at CSUSM. Dr. Jill Watts, thank you for always encouraging me and helping me find my approach. Dr. Deborah Kang, thank you for your words of encouragement when I needed them most. And Dr. Kimber Quinney, for always showing interest in my work and making me feel like my work was valuable.
Lastly, I want to thank my girlfriend Catrina Fuentes, who encouraged me to pursue my Master’s degree and helped me throughout the years it took me to accomplish this feat. I am also fortunate for all the friends that I made while in this wonderful program. I want to thank them along with all of my friends and family that stuck with me through this.

Thank You,
Anthony Snellings
