Letter: Tillman J. Gressitt to Walter and Maud Gressitt, Isle of Capri, Italy, April 17, 1945.

This was a letter mailed on April 17, 1945 from Tillman J. Gressitt to his parents, Walter and Maud Gressitt. In the letter, Gressitt explains that his plane had been badly damaged while traveling to Hungary and that he had to make an emergency landing on an aerodrome in Hungary. At this time, Hungary was occupied by Russians. While in Hungary, Gressitt had the opportunity to socialize with the Russians and Hungarians which he describes as very hospitable.
