Subject

Letter from Tillman J. Gressitt to Mr. and Mrs. J Walter Gressitt, Ellington Field, Texas

Description

This letter describes Tillman Gressitt's training in the air force. In one section he describes being tested and trained on how to deal with the effects of being under high altitude. According to Gressitt, cadets were put in a low pressure chamber that simulated the effects of high altitude. Gressitt wrote that this ensured that the Cadets would know how their individual bodies dealt with altitude and could react accordingly.
