Photograph of four Officers and a soldier. The photograph was taken after the Japanese surrendered in 1945. Michael Gantman stands 5th from the left. He was a Senior Lieutenant in the Artillery Unit, who joined the army at 14 in 1931 by lying about his age. At the time he joined, he did not even have a passport yet, so he made up a story of how he lost it.
