My project examines the brief history of redlining in California during the 20th century. My objective is to raise awareness of how housing discrimination has functioned in California and its impact today with issues of gentrification. More important, my goal is to raise the public's awareness about this issue to show how certain institutions perpetuate racial and economic disenfranchisement.
